Combined BA & MA Philosophy Programs

I recently posted about Florida State University having a combined BA & MA program. Essentialy one applies for the MA program in junior year, so before normal PhD applications, and spends an extra year in that philosophy program. The real change is that you start taking graduate courses early. By taking graduate courses early, before the BA is awarded, your able to count graduate courses for both MA and BA. There are a couple of different approaches to this that I have found so far.

 List of Colleges and plans:

  • 5 years
  • (30) semester hours in undergraduate major.
  • (30) semester hours in master’s level.
  • (12) 5000-level credit hours may be dually counted toward both the BA and the MA degree.
  • 5 years, max of 3 years in MA
  • 3 Tracks
  • :History of Philosophy
  •  Philosophy and Social Policy
  • Ethics, Peace and Global Affairs
  • 3 or 4 classes count for both BA&MA
    • 4 years (120 credits) for BA & MA

    • BA & MA completed in 9 semesters (~4.5 years)
    • 138 credits, of which at least 30 must be graduate credits.
    • 12 credits can be applied to both
    • Required: GPA 3.2, 3 letters of recommendation
    • Thesis required
    • One year MA time limit
    • Yearly review in spring to determine progress and or cut student

Do you know any more school which have this sort of duel program?
