Call for Papers
36th Annual Meeting of the
International 
Merleau-Ponty Circle


Flesh, Truth, Sacred Life


September 15-17, 2011


Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota, U.S.A.


Keynote speakers:
Richard Kearney, Charles B. Seelig Chair of Philosophy at Boston College
and
Emmanuel de Saint Aubert, École Normale Supérieure/Archives Husserl de Paris
Paper submissions directly pertinent to the theme, “Flesh, Truth, Sacred Life” are particularly 
encouraged, but papers on any area of current research in Merleau-Ponty studies will be 
considered for inclusion in the program.  Completed papers will be given strong priority.  
Detailed abstracts will be considered; a short curriculum vitae should accompany abstracts.  Papers 
should be no more than 4,500 words/30 minutes reading time.  Please format papers for blind 
review and send with a cover letter to the conference director by email in pdf, doc or pages 
format.
The conference features the annual M. C. Dillon Memorial Lecture -- an honor and 
monetary award for the best graduate student submission.  Graduate students who wish to be 
considered for the Dillon award should indicate this in their cover letter.
Deadline for submission:  May 15, 2011
